Our sustainability strategy.
Our sustainability strategy is built on four pillars, reflecting the material topics that matter most to BeCause, our stakeholders, and the impact we strive to create.
Environment
BeCause we care about our footprint on the Planet
Climate change. As a SaaS company, our direct emissions are limited, but our cloud infrastructure, office energy use and business travel create a real footprint. Climate is also where our customers face the most acute pressure — making it central to our product as well as to our own operations.
Resource use and circular economy. Our environmental footprint spans two distinct areas: the digital infrastructure and software services that power our product, and the physical equipment and consumables we use in the office. For the former, we focus on measuring and reducing cloud and SaaS-related emissions; for the latter, on reducing waste and extending the life of IT hardware.

BeCause we believe in a thriving workplace and community
Our people. Our team is our most important resource. Creating a fair, inclusive and engaging workplace — tracked through eNPS, gender diversity, retention and learning hours — is essential to building a company that grows sustainably.
Data responsibility. We handle sustainability data on behalf of hospitality clients across multiple markets. Protecting that data, and earning the trust that comes with handling it, is a core responsibility we take seriously as both a commercial and an ethical matter.

Governance
BeCause governance is guided by purpose
Transparency and business conduct. Publishing an annual ESG report is itself an expression of our governance commitment. We hold ourselves to the same standard of disclosure we help our customers meet — which means being honest about what we have measured, what we have estimated, and where gaps remain.

Innovation
Innovation BeCause impact is rooted in innovation and collaboration
Product impact. Our platform exists to improve how the hospitality industry collects, manages and acts on ESG data. The impact we enable in our customers' operations is, in the longer run, the largest sustainability contribution we can make — which is why quantifying that product impact is a goal we are actively working toward.
